We have used MJ several times with our Verizon card. If you have good coverage it works pretty well-of course, we don't have as good of numbers (latency, etc) with it as we do at home with Comcast

I use it with windows home premium in a dell c521. Works great except it fights with my roxio. I just don't use them at the same time.

I have to agree with lonestarmagic. I have purchased two of these MJ's and they are a 15 minute install on either xp or vista. I even changed one of the numbers to a different area code (took two minutes.) I believe most of the problems people have with MJ fall into 3 categories: a. software ...

Sure they may not be losing anything on the magic jacks themselves but there is a lot more expense to this network including the servers and number assignments.... If this were simply a computer to computer service it would be much cheaper than including UNLIMITED calling to ALL the telephone sets ...

What amazes me is the way people expect it to be just like their LEC at $30-50 per month for $20 per year unlimited use....

We have one giving us cellular or better service in Ecuador....

I got the last one at the local Walgreens. Works ok although the outbound volume is a litte low and the button markings/functions are NOT intuitive.
