Fast busy signals indicate dial plan problem. Try the one below and see if that helps at all. This should work with 7, 10, and 11 digit dialing, and should work fine for international calling.

I registered SPA2102 (firmware 5.25, latest) with no problems using WRT54GS DD-WRT Router. I put my ATA after the router and specified 192.168.1.1:5070 in the proxy field. You need to make sure your proxy is running properly. To check, you can telnet into the router and type "top" and you ...

Re: SPA-2102 Won't Register

I tried as of 19-01-2009 1:22am USET to get my SPA-2102 to register with the magicjack servers. I entered the SIP information and the User Agent, used port 5070 and as far as I can tell entered all setup as found in searching the forums without luck. The SPA-2102 would not register with magicjack ...

we need to work on a firmware that will send magic jack user agent headers to their servers. then that would pretty much eliminate the chance of getting banned for using third party hardware.

Linksys devices allow you to input your "own" user-agent. If I'm not mistaken, you should see User-Agent ...

I have a left over SunRocket Linksys SPA 2102 that is sitting around. I have tried to "unlock" it from TeleBlend settings to no avail. If anyone has a way or serial/password to unlock it and the settings to use it with MagicJack, I would really appreciate the information.

Make sure you are using :5070 after your proxy.

Example:

proxy1.boston.talk4free.com:5070

Hope this helps....

My friend's MagicJack is less than a 1 month old. Mine is almost a year and I don't have any issues. I tried to troubleshoot his MJ, but we couldn't figure it out. I did eliminate the actual phone, MJ itself, or any issues associated with PC since he is using an ATA. I tried to get some ...

I don't think this is a PC, USB, or a sound card issue. I have a friend who uses an ATA and he is experiencing same issues/problems. Around 10 to 15 min into the phone call, it sounds like someone is pressing a key. I think the problem is on MJ side.

In my Linksys SPA2102, under "SIP" tab, I have "SIP USER AGENT NAME" which is set to "$VERSION" and I have "SIP REG USER AGENT NAME", which is blank. What of those do I set "MagicJack/1.80.447a (SJ Labs)"? Any other suggestions to minimize detection?

Thanks guys!

Flying Under The Radar

Is there any values that could be changed in ATA to "fly under the radar" with MJ, so it appears close to original USB?

Thanks!
