Ok, I figured out my problem.... It's not my problem. It only happens when I dial a number in my own area code (717). Long distance calls are fine. I guess there's not too much I can do about it.

I've used Live Chat to try and get this fixed. I can still make calls, it's just that the 35 second delay is annoying as hell.

Jennifer : Hello, how may I help you?

Rich : After dialing a phone number, either from the handset or the Magicjack application, there is exactly 35 seconds of ...

I've successfully created a bug report. What email should I send it to? If you'd like, I could send it to you and you can pass it on.

Well, I guess not many of us are having this issue. I'd love to fix it but I've tried everything I can on my end. I have a feeling it's the server or switch my MJ is connecting to but I have no proof. Eh, I guess I'll just put up with the 35 second delay. Maybe it'll fix itself someday.

Outgoing ring takes over 30 seconds

Ok, everytime I dial a phone number, it takes around 34 seconds before I can hear an outside ring. It's not terribly offensive but anyone that uses my phone has to be aware of it (I've got a sign taped to the handset). Does anyone have a solution?

I had the same problem but didn't need a registry change to fix it. Here's what I did:

1) Go to control panel
2) Double click on "Sounds and Audio Devices"
3) Click on the "Audio" tab.
4) In the box displayed for "Sound Playback" there will be a box with a down arrow to select "Default Device". The ...

Ok, for some reason I'm having the same issue. I have to wait EXACTLY 34 seconds after I dial a phone number before I get an outbound ring. Try waiting for 20 to 40 seconds before you hang up. I bet it rings at around the 34 second mark. Anyone have a cure for this? Anyone having the same problem?

I know everyone here seems to be listing cordless phones but I tend to use a corded phone with my MJ. GE model 29267GE1 with caller ID around $15 at CVS or where cheap phones are sold. Sound quality and clarity are great. Here are some links and a picture:
