Try using a 5.8GHz or Dect 6.0 Cordless phone. You may get some interference from the 2.4GHz phone with Wireless. They are both running at 2.4GHz, I believe.

It seems like the switch to cable had nothing to do with the issue with the Softphone. Her anti-spyware s/w removed something called "MyWebSearch' and somehow this affected the softphone starting up on her PC. Restoring MyWebSearch resolved the issue. She is a "happy camper" again....

Installed the Hawking this morning, made a couple of calls and what a difference. Really noticeable difference in audio quality. None of the normal background noise. Well worth the $40.... I did still get the MJ Screech though. :) Oh well you can't have everything.

I believe that in FL they charge you for bogus 911 calls, so I'm glad it wasn't 911. I'm glad it didn't go through to soeone's number cause that really could have p*ssed off some poor folks being called at 6:40 each morning... The phone looked to be brand new the bags etc were all still sealed ...

MagicJacked, the Vtech base is connected directly into the MJ, it's not through the phone jacks in the house, though I don't have Tivo (still running with that NEW technology, what do they call it...hmm VCR
