Open your volume control and make sure nothing is muted and that the volume slide is turned up. Also open your MJ softphone and click menu, then volume/headset control and make sure it is set to headset not telephone.

Maybe you have a flaky phone.....try another phone.

I had choppy calls as well for the last few days......what fixed my choppy calls was I shut down my router for about three min and reset. Now all my calls are clear again.

Thanks for that tip, I also unchecked the Qos in my Win XP and my calls aren't choppy anymore as well......

Will have to monitor this method for a few days and see how it works out.

Depending on what kind of phone you have as your home phone, if it has the RJ-11 phone cable that plugs on the back of your phone base, take the other end which is plugged into the jack on your wall and plug that end into your MJ.

Donno about checking to see if it's the internet or MJ issue. I assume it's an MJ issue since I've had really clear calls for the last two months with no issues. This just seems to have started yesterday and I tried again today and the calls still sound choppy/some words getting cut out.

Anyone else getting choppy calls this evening?

For some unknown reason this evening while calling local or long distance, both outgoing voice and incoming voice is really choppy.

Just curious if anyone else is having this same problem tonight.

I ordered mine with standard delivery.....I got it in 4 days. It took MJ a few days to let me know the tracking number sent to my email addy.

Whatever the deal was with that phone.....just be glad it wasn't calling 911.....that could have become costly if they would have charged you for each mistaken call.

Are you 100% sure that phone was new when you bought it? It could have been bought by someone else, then returned to the store ...

Try it on a friends puter and if it does the same thing on theirs, you'll know you have a bad MJ....if it works fine, then there is still something messed up in your system or setup.

The names on the contact list are auto sorted from A-Z.....you have no control over how they are arranged, it's done automaticly.
