Mine has been doing the same thing since the last "lucky you" update. The call is cut off after 5 min. sometimes the person that we called can still hear us and sometimes not. I have talked to support a couple of times but am still having the same problem. Frustrating

I think we will find that when they come up with Canadian area codes, they will charge so much for them that we will not want to pay the extra money and just keep using the US codes.

I can send text to my cell phone by sending emails from my email application.
Check out to see if you can. I have to use the phone [email protected] to get it to work.

NOTE: I just made the change on a computer I have set up temporarily with a 54 Mbps (max) connection and it worked just fine. I don't remember what the bandwidth limitations are for MJ but I seriously didn't expect my MJ to work. BTW, the connection speed is showing at 18 Mbps ...

Sometimes when I call, the phone number displayed on the receiving phone's cid is the wrong phone number and even the wrong area code.
Why is that happening? The people I'm calling screen their calls and may not pick it up.

MJ, as far as I know, does not have that capability you speak of but neither does any other VOIP service I know of. You could try registering your MJ number with the DoNotCall registry.

Does that DoNotCall registry have any legal weight outside of the US or Canada?
