I just wanted to give an update and let you guys know that I now have the MJ working perfectly on my 1.2 GHz T5710 TC using 256/256 memory (even better than it was on my laptop via powered USB hub). The issues I was having before was not related to the Thin Client, but rather other issues that the ...

It looks like it ISN'T a firmware upgrade issue. I spoke with a rep yesterday and today and got some answers. Here is the chat transcript from today - I bolded the the parts you might find useful (It basically says that their engineers are aware of the issue and should have things back to normal ...

Thin Client MJ Quality Just As Good As Desktop MJ Quality?
I am using my MJ on my laptop via a powered USB hub and have finally gotten the quality good enough to replace my home telephone service. I just bought a TC but can't seem to get MJ to work properly on 256/256 memory (is this possible anymore?). So, before I upgrade the memory, I would like to know ...

Thin Client MJ has dialtone, dials & rings, but disconne
I am trying to set up a thin client I recently purchased. It is 256/256 memory though. I flashed a new image of XPe and removed the unwanted software, as per the instructions in the TC sticky. Now, when I pick up my MJ phone, I hear a dialtone. I can dial a # and the other phone rings, however once ...

If you disconnect (or don't have) home phone service from your telephone company, but keep their DSL, this option is called Dry-Loop DSL (without phone service). In order to have this, plus the rest of the house wiring available for MagicJack home wiring, you need to have a splitter installed (if ...

Latest MJ upgrades require Thin Clients with 512/512 memory?
Hi, I'm sorry if this has already been posted, but it's been so hard for me to find the final word on this. I just ordered a thin client with 256/256 memory (a newbie to TCs). I was wondering if all of these audio/directx/etc problems have been resolved so that I won't have to upgrade my memory to ...

Re: Link to MJ Porting Date
In the comments section of that article, it says that porting should be available on July 4th? It's July 22 now and I haven't heard anything about it...rawthang wrote:http://blog.laptopmag.com/magicjack-inv ... e-and-more

Same with the AT&T DECTsligg wrote:yanee wrote:The MJ voicemail is set to answer at 4 rings. As far as I know there is no changing this, however, you can set your answering machine to pick up at 3 rings to bypass the MJ voicemail.
Uniden Cordless has Toll saver, 2, 4, 6 rings.

spoof cid name
I understand that the number can be spoofed, but does this mean that the name that callers see when we call them can also be spoofed? My MJ number just shows the location instead of name to other callers. Sorry if this has already been answered somewhere else, I did a search and could not find ...

I had this same problem and wasted my time talking to MJ tech support. If the only thing you want to do is have the old email back in order to receive voicemail notifications (which is why I wanted it), you could have the email forwarded. Many email providers provide this, I know gmail does. I just ...
