There is however one thing you might give a try.

Go into the Device manager > Universal Serial Bus controllers > then do a properties on each item labeled USB Root Hub > go to the power management tab and un-check allow the computer ...

[I did mine myself. I only have $80 in the way it sits with a 1gb/512. I use it for an internet terminal as well as hosting the MJ.

Man, (pun intended I see remarks like this all the time. Would you please tell us how you did it so cheaply?

My idea was to use the DPH 50 U which has 2 lines.One for the normal phone where i was planning to plug in the line from magicjack and the other line was to be used for skype.VOIP dude has gone one step ahead and says we can use the same dongle for both , wow...

No I did not have any experiences like that. After I told it how to find the files it couldn't find it just worked.

If you go into the device manager do you see any drivers displaying the question mark or exclamation mark in yellow?

Is there some setting in your audio card that steals connections it believes to be rightfully for the audio card, much like Windows Media Player will try to associate all of its file extensions if you don't explicitly tell it not to?

My money is some quirk like you mention or an audio application ...

No, I sure don't have a suggestion on this one. I never had it forget the settings But I never had a conexantHDaudio card.

It might be related to your audio card, have you made sure you have the most up to date drivers for it... probably not the problem but worth a try.

For me:

1. Transcend's RAM modules will not work in a HP Thin Client.
2. PNY ultima PC2700 will work in a 5700,10 or 20.
3. Kingston RAM from their HP Thin client look up table works well in HP thin clients including T5730.

PNY is my RAM of choice, never, ever had a problem with it ...

Yes... much of the audio qualiry problems come from MagicJack's servers...
