The * code doesn't seem to work anymore... at least when I try calling my Montreal cellphone numbers.

I am in Montreal and I am also having problems calling Montreal cellphone numbers (only tested it with Rogers/Fido cellphone numbers) with MagicJack. The "*" codes/hack that are listed don't appear to work.

What happens is on the MagicJack side, it appears as if the phone keeps ringing but on the ...

thanks a lot for the tips. i haven't been able to make rogers/fido cellphone calls to toronto. it works fine for rogers/fido cellphones outside the city. with the *67+4*16+.....works fine.

I just purchased MagicJack (located in Montreal) from a local reseller and I've also experienced this problem.

I would say that 99% of the calls that I make to Rogers or Fido cellphones in Montreal don't go through. I get what appears to be ringing and it sounds like it rings for maybe 30 seconds ...
