To use 2000 for the minutes in one month is the same when using 100 minutes everyday for two months on the MagicJack when they call me and I call them together? I want to make sure it will work.

Thanks!

Welcome Paul! I'm currently running MJ on a Mini with 10.5.5 and it works fine except for incoming caller id. Running on XP with Boot Camp it seems to work just as well and caller id works as well. I've had similar results running MJ on a MacBook.
If you're already planning to get a Mini and run MJ ...

For what it's worth, I just picked the cheapest cordless phone because my expensive corded phone sucked. Now, it's flawless.

And it seems a bit opposite for me. A moderately priced ($100) cordless sucks, but a cheap corded works fine. Seems like hit-and-miss. Guess this is going to take some ...

Well, plugging the pana into the place where you would put your cordless phone. Also did this happen on your old landine service (or old VOIP service). It could be the jack, wire going to the phone from the jack, the phone, signal issues. So you wanna try checking all you can.

Good thought, but don't think its interference. When I plug the same phone back into Comcast's modem and use their service, its not there. Nothing else is being changed and the phone isn't being moved, so its definitely something related to MJ.

Are some types of phones better than others to use with MJ?

I notice that I get a 'hum' when using MJ with a cordless Panasonic 5.8 GHz. When I use a corded GE phone, I don't hear this. I don't notice it either with the speaker on the Panasonic base, but that may just be because the dynamics of speaker phones make them sound different. Are there known phones ...

To keep MJ or send it back?

I've only had MJ for a couple of weeks, but I think I've seen and heard what I need to. Now I'm debating whether to keep it or not. From the beginning, its worked ok, not great, not bad, but ok. Works better than I expected, but not as good as I'd like for a landline replacement. But I'm also ...

Ah, I figured it out, but thats only because I had to cough when I was calling it. I thought you'd be able to say a sentence or two and push a button and it plays it back but all it really does is echo back what you say. The first few times I called and I was quiet and was waiting for something to ...

909-390-0003 <--------- test your voice line

What happens when you dial this number?

Nothing happens! Is this down or something? I just tried this and when I dial it, nothing happens. No ring, no voice, no nothing, I just get silence. Every other call I make goes through fine though, so its not ...
