Re: No sound after MagicJack!?!

So, I just purchased magicjack a few days ago and it seems to be working great! I have this one issue, and it is probably very easy to fix, but I can't figure out how! Since installing magicjack I have lost sound on other programs. I can't hear music nor do I have sound for videos. My chat 'ding ...

I had the same issue when I installed my MJ with a Verizon cell calling my MJ from California. My MJ is in Indiana. I waited about a week and the calls started going through and have been ever since September 2008. I think it has something to do with new exchange number discovery for telephone ...

For the alarm system I use another alternative together, although a bit more costly but much more secure. Instead of using the phone line to communicate use a radio. My system uses digital cellular control channel to communicate with the cental station. It sends a beacon every 30sec to verify the ...

This issue also surfaced on older phone switches when new exchange numbers became prominent with the advent of cell phone companies. Since most hospitals have their own telephone switches, the hospital phone switch probably does not recognize the new 3 digit exchange for YMAX (magicJack) in your ...

As a retired telecom technician I would like to shed some light on the subject and history of the POTS (Plain Old Telephone Set) and MJ. Remember the MJ is marketed as a “multimedia” device not a telecommunication device. Therefore it is not subject to the technical or registration requirements by ...

My MJ is in the 317 area. I attempt to call a Verizon cell in the 707 area, after entering the last digit I get a dial tone. The person in the 707 area then calls me on my MJ and tells me they just had a "missed call" which came from my MJ. Land line calls to the 707 area seem to be fine. Very ...

Will MJ work with XP PRO SP3?

Thinking of taking the plunge, but I have Windows XP Pro SP3. I have read several places here SP3 is a problem for MJ but no explanation as to why not.
