3+ years here. I've had more problems with my ISP than I have ever had with MJ. MJ has been flawless 99.9% of the time.

It sounds like you may have the wrong OS. Each HP thin client has a specific version. Yours should be here -

The 800 MHz t5710s struggle. Mine uses 100% CPU during calls which occasionally degrades the quality a bit. The 1.2 MHz is a much better choice.

Make sure your USB ports are not set to power saving and go to sleep.

I don't believe the XPe image will install on a t5730 if main memory is over 1 GB.

How much memory leakage are you experiencing? I can go months with only a 10-20 MB creep in memory usage. My t5710 is not even warm to the touch so I never consider a cool down necessary.

The flash drive in your machine is too small and needs to be replaced by a 512MB or 1 GB module. The first sticky or two in this forum explains the details.
