I finally got the MJ working again on the TC with TightVNC and DirextX. Works fine....BUT...it gives the message that the Call list and Contacts list cannot be downloaded and that it will try again in 4 minutes. It tries again and then tells me to "click here" to retry the download. Then it gives up.

Anyone know the answer??? Crying or Very sad

The update about 6 or 8 months ago that trashed about half the MJ modules/\ on TC computers in the world, I assume thats what he is talking about. Mine was down for 6 months before I got the TC re written.

I found the answer.!!

http://www.magicjack.com/8/customercare.asp

Go to the above site, log on for online chat and tell them your problem. They will fix it on the spot.

This answer was posted to me off list by someone that is not registered to post on the list but apparently can read it.

You will find that the update is IE based. Many of the actions that MJ implements are IE based. If you check your options in IE you will find that contacts and calls can be activated. I am in the process of getting another download that will nullify the requirement for such IE use. Since I am an Open Source geek I am waiting for the day LinUx is proffered a connection.

I also use Linux and look forward to that day as well. But using TightVNC I can use the desktop on Linux and access the TC conveniently
