I have two MG #'s and a friend has one. We can make outgoing calls fine. When anyone dials the #'s to call us, they hear, "The number you have dialed is not in service message NY90653."
What is the solution to this problem? So far I have been out of service for 24 hours...
The people who answer [email protected] indicate they do not know what they are doing, and the same with the people responding to the chat online. They keep directing me to try things on my end with my computer and the MG device/software.

Yeah, I get the same message when people try and call my number. It is a server problem on their end and it has happened to me before. I am on my second "level" of support. What they do is just forward you to another retarded same level support person and they keep making you try things on your end because they don't want to admit it is a server problem or do any work on their end because they don't know how.
This has happened to me before. I had to stay in their "chat" for like an hour and then they said "It's a problem on our end with our telco servers", to which I replied "wow, I said that when we started - thanks for wasting an hour of my life". In any event, it might take them a few days to resolve it.
What I would suggest is that you get a Google Voice account and forward your Google Voice number to your MajicJack. Make sure you put Call Presentation on so that your Google Voice voicemail takes over if you don't pick up. There are many Google Voice features that you can figure out yourself but having it as your primary phone number is really so much better than relying on MajicJack. This way if people can't call your majicjack they at least get your Google Voice voicemail and then you can have it text you/email you when a VM comes in. |
