Thanks for taking the time to read this.
1. Is there a way that I can turn off the greeting, so if I'm not here to answer it, there's not an option to leave a message?
2. Is there a way to hide my number from caller- ID?
Thanks. I've checked the settings and I apologize if it's right in front of me. I also did a quick search-query in this forum, but there are too many possibilities for me to sort through.

im not so sure for your number 1 question but the number 2 MJ have no way to block your caller ID directly dialing any combination or anything else you need to use a third party program... |

Thanks. I sort of thought that, as I've treid everything I know of to hide it.
I'm hoping there is a way to kill off the greeting option, as I really only use this phone for outgoing calls for my business.
The problem is my customers read the number, via their caller ID, and try me back when I'm away. My greeting (although choppy and sometimes hard to hear) says not to leave messages, however nobody listens.
If the voice mail system was just a bit more reliable, then no problem, but I can't totally rely on it at this time. |

You can call your number, press '*' at the greeting, and record a personalized greeting telling callers that the number is not used for incoming calls, please call (whatever).
You can also go into my.magicjack.com account portal and set a phone number for all calls to be forwarded to. (I haven't used this. But, I think it might meet your needs.).

OK, thanks for the replies. I'll check out some of these suggestions.
For me, just the ability to kill of the voice mail would do the trick, but these are some nice work-arounds.
Thanks again.
