I'm about to scream and throw this darned thing out in the Tacoma RAIN!!!!
I've set it up but didn't get the 'registration' screen. I got hold of live tech but we couldn't resolve anything. We did the updates only to find that the program couldn't recognize their registration server. He had me me uninstall a couple of times, unplug and replug too many time to think about, change some settings on my puter. I was then transfered to a more advanced technician. They had me do some things and then reboot. Nothing changed. I've been trying for two hours to get back into live tech support but I keep getting that stupid screen that tells me everything I need to know can be found by looking through that little menu of questions. Yeah!!! Right!
I'm running windows XP with service pack 2. I've gone through and uninstalled everything, shut off anti-virus and deleted programs that they said weren't compatible. Now that I'm down to the computer just wearing houseshoes I'm still having issues. Now I'm getting an error saying that magicjack is not supported on my version of windows and to please check www.magicjack.com/requirements for more information. I'm really wondering if this is even worth this!!!!
And, I'm also (when going into properties) getting this thing about running compatibility with either win 95, 98, ME 2000 and something else and I've tried them all. Now I don't remember what it was originally set on. But, it didn't have anything about XP.
I only have a few hairs left in my head. Can anybody help get me up and running so that I can keep from pulling those few out???
