Stuttering Dial Tone-Annoying. Anyone Know How To Fix?

Post by drjekyl »

I have 0 voicemails, new or old, but I get a stuttering dial tone of 5 beeps everytime I take the phone off the hook to dial out.

I contacted MJ through their poor excuse for tech support chat and they were absolutely clueless (try another USB port, etc.)

Anyone have any ideas? It is kind of annoying.

Try leaving yourself a message and then deleting it. Have you tried restarting MJ? Is the voicemail indicator on the softphone on?

Sometimes when my MJ is giving me fits with dial tone stutter and it doesn't go away after a couple attempts, I can usually fix it by changing the proxy in the Caller ID Spoofer. Is that what you're referring to or something else?

Good point. I believe that for MWI to work properly, you have to use the proxy that's in your config file? For drjekyl, that's probably Phoenix.
