If you see no packets, make sure that you are capturing from the correct interface. If the relevant NIC is wireless, in most cases you will need to turn off promiscuous mode.

If you see too many packets (because your PC is doing other stuff in addition to MJ), try setting the Filter to "sip" (lower case but without the quotes).

A SIP packet will have a source or destination IP of the proxy; the other address will be that of your PC.

You can find the name for the proxy IP by typing, at a command prompt, e.g.

Code: Select all

ping -a 67.90.138.70
If you do not have a hosts file entry for the proxy it is using, you should be able to flush the DNS cache, start a capture, start MJ, wait for 'ready to call', stop capture, and see the DNS lookup for the proxy.

thanks found it say proxy1.Dallasatt.talk4free.com

i added my host file to be like this

127.0.0.1 localhost
0.0.0.0 upgrade.talk4free.com

and using version 1 i added the ip as this 67.107.71.134 for magicjack proxy

i have also tried version 1.1 and no luck there either tried running spoofer first then magicjack and magicjack first then spoofer app

MJ really does have two proxies in Dallas.

proxy1.dallasatt.talk4free.com is 12.69.64.8 .
proxy1.dallas.talk4free.com is 67.107.71.134 .

The entry in your host file must have the same name that MJ is looking up.
The IP in the spoofer should be the corresponding address.

If it still doesn't work, post some details from a new capture. You should see packets from the spoofer to the proxy -- both source and dest ports should be 5070.
