MJ locks up all usb ports
Would just like to say hi all, just found and registered today, will be looking around when i am done here. I just got off the chat with MJ customer service, there is an hour and half of my life i will never get back, and with no help at all, but when the MJ is plugged in it will dominate all the other USB ports. I even tried it on the laptop with the same result. You can not use the other ports at all.The tower is running Vista Ult and the laptop is running XP pro. They told me it was the way my comp was configured and that it was my particular mj, nice answer. Anyone see this before?

Insertion
Also, be careful with how you insert it. If you do not use a firm continuous push you can cause a "storm" to the USB ports. The only cure is to complete power down (do NOT restart or hibernate) and then power up again. It will reset the ports. This mostly happens form flash drives but USB ports also physically wear out making them more vulnerable. Using a HUB on a non worn out port will preserve from physical damage. The machine I'm using now has a damage port form constant usage of switching between a flash drive and a USB printer by by my girlfriend who didn't just use both ports simultaneously and wore one out.
