Hell, yes! (Don't mind me... I'm just trying to get to 150 posts.)

Yes, but I'm a bit of a Neanderthal, with only 512 down and 384 up, so if I'm doing something band intensive, the voice quality tends to suffer a bit.

Seriously, at one time there was a lot of discussion re: the Hawking Broadband Booster to reduce echo and facilitate quality. I bought one and still have it in place but it never really made a difference on my system. Others swear by it ("buy it") and claim it makes a big difference in reducing echo, etc.

For me, not so much. Not the worst purchase I ever made, but I'm a low bandwidth user. You might want to do a search on some of the threads to see if it is a possible solution for you. All my machines are high bandwidth, and since I'm low usage, it prolly doesn't matter.

As long as you have enough bandwidth and processor to power both, yes. Otherwise, your sound could get a little garbled.
Windows Vista and Laptop with XP SP2 on the road. Occasionally, a Mac if my Windows machine isn't working.

Yes. But you need to comprehend one very important point: magicJack requires a maximum of 130Kbps up-link bandwidth and a maximum of 130Kbps down-link bandwidth -- if the maximum is not available you will get very garbled voice results.

So if your ISP is providing you with with only 512 down and 384 up -- then you are OK in relative terms BUT just barley OK --- while using MJ do NOT download files or attempt to look at videos from the Internet -- surfing is OK and getting email that have no attachments is OK however if the email have large attachments then that will have a negative impact while using MJ.

If your bandwidth and computer horsepower is good enough, you can even stream video and still have crystal clear audio with magicJack! :P

Thanks, but nothing happened! No balloons, marching bands, dancing girls.... nada! Somehow I expected a little more.
