magicJack Server Down?
Today is Sunday, July 20, and I'm not able to use magicJack because it appears the server is down. I'm getting "error 3" code which indicates magicJack is not connected to the Internet. However, the Internet is not down as I'm able to surf.
Anyone else encounter this problem? The server has apparently been down all afternoon.

magicjack server down
I have a connection to the internet and I can ping the magicjack server but I can't get my magicjack to connect either. I get error 3 in the 609 area code. I can't get to the mymagicjack page even though I pinged it.
Is there a number to call tech support? Because the chat for tech support does not work.
I don't think magic jack is going to be around much longer the way it works now.

MJ DOWN in PA - YES!
Its 10pm est and my MJ is "NOT CONNECTED" ??? !!! I imagine there is some updating to system to handle the thousands that are signing up each day. I expect the IT people at MJ will take care of it and Monday AM all will be back to normal.
I had a long keyboard chat with tech support--apparently based in India--nice people but they didn't help. To me, it's obvious there is a MJ server problem, particularly when magicJack didn't work on both of my computers (desktop and Thin Client). I can't even log into my member account which is more evidence that MJ is having a problem. It seems MJ is not authenticating, thus the error 3 and/or error 4 codes.
I'm in MD as well. Mine just came back at Midnight 00:00 07/21. I was having other problems getting to a few of my clients servers. They are working now as well. I think a router must have gone south somewhere down the line. Weird.hsweiss wrote:Down here too (error #3) (physically in MD but with a 718 area code). I can' t ping any of the talk4free servers nor can I tracert to them - could be an ISP or routing problem to the MJ servers.
Checked at 12:15 a.m. and up and running again. So I went through a bunch of nonsense with tech support when all magicJack reps had to say is that their server was down. Come on, give me a break! Also, I gave my account password to a tech support person so he could try to access my account. Now, I'm looking to change the password and can't, because although there's a claim a password can be changed, there is no actual ability to do so---that is, unless I'm missing something. LOL

Have you guys read the MJ foroum on dslreports? They have figured it out and yep there is a router somewhere that is not functioning. So we are NOT crazyMark wrote:Checked at 12:15 a.m. and up and running again. So I went through a bunch of nonsense with tech support when all magicJack reps had to say is that their server was down.
