wirless broadband
Has anyone tried connecting their magic jack using a wireless broadband, such as verizon? Did it break up, or lose quality in sound? Thanks

Log on to your wireless broadband, then test your connection over at testyourvoip.com. I'm not sure if this answers your question, but I'm using it on a wireless connection in the house and it works fine. I have FiOS broadband with a netgear wireless card. I didn't expect it to work very well but when I tested it on http://www.testyourvoip.com, I got a 4.1 rating. My direct connection tested at 4.4.
Also, I'm using a Uniden DECT 6.0 phone because on the wireless network at my former office, my Plantronics 2.4 interfered with the wireless and caused problems.

I bought my sister a MJ for use with Verizon air card. At first It worked great, 
she was thrilled. She took it to her Daughters house to show them how great it was, It still worked great.. this all over a period of 3 to 4 days after receiving and setting up. Brought it home and it failed miserably. 
. Tried everything and all kinds of chats with the tech supportless people with them giving up and actually hanging up to leave her stranded with it. After many tries to get it going I even had her change to the Sprint EVDO card that gave a little bit better signal.. Same problem. . Had someone higher up in MJ try to get her cranked up// Success!!. . for about 5 minutes into the call .. Called back another day for same tech.. SUCCESS AGAIN!! ..For another 5 minutes .. Latest is.. Higher tech support says cant help..so.. a lot of time from the top of the heap couldn't get her rollin good. 
. She is waiting for FIOS to be rollin in in DEC. (Verizon says DEC, 
if they can be believed 
).. So.. I am pretty sure that my answer is related to your question.. If you get a strong signal where you are, then maybe you will get better service out of your MJ.. But, I don't think the wireless broadband can handle it. I could be wrong, don't know.. I think there is one guy on here that has had success with the wireless scenario, that is HolmanGT. He has some kind of contraption rigged up with a wireless router and an air card somehow..Other than that I haven't seen very much success..

Verizon air card
We have used MJ several times with our Verizon card. If you have good coverage it works pretty well-of course, we don't have as good of numbers (latency, etc) with it as we do at home with Comcast
Poor Call Quality with Verizon EVDO
I have the Novatel usb720 and always have poor call quality--I can hear ok but the party I am calling reports sound break-ups. This occurs even at broadband connections.
Dude, have you verified it's your connection and not your computer? Like trying it on your network but on another computer. My MJ was crap on my computer, but great on my mom's in the same network. After a clean reinstall of the OS, things worked great!
But I hope MJ can work on WDSL. My boyfriend's mom has that in AZ off the Utah border, and I'm thinking about MJ as a Christmas gift. I know Skype did not work last time I tried there, so it may be hopeless.
