Swapping Ni-Cd batteries with Ni-MH

Post by booyah5 »

Hi, is it possible to swap Ni-Cd batteries with Ni-MH batteries on a cordless phone? I mean, would there be an explosion or leak or something? Anyone try this?

Ni-Cd and Ni-MH are compatible so swap away, your phone will work better and the battery life will be far greater! Make sure the pack has the same number of cells, I.E. output voltage.

Always shake the package before you buy. If the battery pack emits a high pitched squeal it could be squirrel infested.

It's good to know! The default batteries were crap from day-1! Now a trip to Fry's for me.
