HELP!!
I recieved my first mj last week and set it up as per the website. I also ran all the upgrades and rebooted each time. I also spent 5 hours in the chat room talking and reinventing the wheel. They finally said that they would send me another mj.
I have a Vista system with a netgear wireless router. I can call out but cannot recieve any calls. When dialed you get the number is not working please check the number and dial again.
I have recieved my second MJ and will put my first in the mail back to mj. I have done all the install and same problem. I can call out but not recieve. I can and have set up voice mail but it doesen't matter if the number is not working.
Could this be a Vista issue and if so please advise me on what to do to fix it. I have diabled all firewalls and rebooted with no effect. I was told by one of the tech support people to install DivX scratch scratch have no clue what that has anything to do with this. I installed and of course no effect. Please let me know what to do.
I am using XP pro with a fairly new computer and a cable 3m connection. I have the same problems, I can't receive calls but I can make calls to others. I've tried opening the ports threw my router , turning off the firewall, and bypassing the router all together. Still get the call can not be completed message from Verizon. Now MJ says its the phone, I bought a new v-tec CS5111 5.8ghz cordless yesterday. Same exact problem...it's not Vista. But I do see there is a Vista fix!
I am having the same problem with Magicjack not receiving from a Verizon wireless phone v260 old but works fine and was checked with the Verizon techs and checked out fine. I use Comcast for the internet. I can call out and receive calls fine with MagicJack to anyone anywhere except for this phone. Bottom line is Verizon cannot explain why this phone does not work with MJ. I get Verizon error message can't connect as dialed ( 10-digits). Anyone have any insight??
Verizon final comment was the phone is OK and connects to Verizon but Magicjack has a problem answering call from this phone. Call Magicjack and have them tweak their system.
MagicJack tech support told me there is an issue with Verizon phones calling in. 5 days later I am still waiting for my call back from Magicjack support techs. So the issue is either Verizon is blocking it or MagicJack needs to reconfigure their stuff. My problem is the 99% of friends and family use Verizon!
I cannot reciev incoming calls from verizon wireless magicjack says they are working on it but its been awhile now. Suprisingly I can call the same verizon number and the call goes through without a hitch but i cannot get a call from verizon-anyone knows whats going on here

New here and was wondering if this has been resolved and if so how? I've had my MJ for about 5 months and everything has been fine until about 5 days ago.
I can make outgoing calls but any incoming calls, the MJ rings once and then nothing. I tried calling from different carriers phones and they all do the same. Ring once and then static and disconnect.
New here... I am having the same issue for more than a month or two. After a ring or two, when the phone is picked up at my end, no more communication... The caller keeps hearing the ring and it goes to VM, although I picked up the phone on my end with the MJ. No problem with outgoing calls. Anyone has a solution to this problem?
I just got this resolved. I actually went to their site and did their Chat Support. They had me change some of my PC settings then they reset something on their end and the issue got fixed.

BTW...I am also using Vista and it was happening with all calls, did not matter what cell carrier was calling.
