Then you should have the ports open that you need to make calls. It sounds like a registration error on port 80. Has the jack been registered? Can you try it on another computer?

Well thats the thing. Anybody that is going threw this internet service that they are providing us out here is having the same problem, so it dosent matter what computer you use.

Is there anyway around it? Like using a program that will bypass the block. I mean i dont no to much about it, but even if i was to change the proxy would that work and how would i do it??

Any thoughts will help.

I can say personally it would be such a great gift to receive the info on how to get this working for me and my fellow soldiers so we could contact our family's.

You could try using a proxy server to redirect the registration

Are you able to surf secured website's like eBay for instance which use port 443? MJ uses port 443 during it's registration. Port 443 is not used by testyourvoip.com so that could be one difference.

You could also download wireshark and do a capture on the network traffic, as you plug your MJ in, so you can find out what exactly is not working.

It s probably not much help but...I was in Seoul a few months ago and was able to call the states. But when I m in Dubai,,,no dice. The UAE blocks it along with Skype.
LG might have done the same thing.
Good luck and much Thanks for your Service.

You could try a VPN service such as GoTrusted (www.gotrusted.com). They charge $6/month, but their service permits you to create a VPN between your computer and the GoTrusted servers here in the states. I've never used them myself so I don't know how well they work or if it will work with MJ, but I've seen a few forums where most people seem to be happy with it. They have a one week free trial (although I believe you have to provide them with your credit card number even for the trial). There are probably other similar services out there, but this is the only one of which I'm familiar. I'm neither recommending nor not recommending this service, but I'm throwing it out there as a possible solution to your problem.

Using a VPN service would also permit you to bypass all of the other restrictions of your ISP since you would be using port 443 to establish the connection. Of course, if your ISP blocks the VPN providers then you're still out of luck.

I had the exact same issue, "waiting for proxy" (and after timing out) an error 3 displayed when I tried to connect for the first time. I contacted customer support via the on-live link. The operator sent an update to my MJ (had to do it twice) and after removing the MJ for 15 seconds, it worked perfectly when I plugged it back in.

Hope this helps.
