Problems with dialing - adds extra digits, etc.

For example, sometimes when I press "8" magic jack takes it as "88" and sometimes when I press "7" it doesn't register it at all. This seems to be happening with most numbers. Anyone know why?

Is this also happening on the softphone? If it is not, then your phone might be the culprit!

But my phone normally doesn't have this problem - it's seems to be either a bug in the software (on the mac os) or something with the connection of the phone to the jack...not sure which. Incidentally when I connect my fax machine to it, the magicjack has even more trouble recognizing the numbers.

i have the same problem it may be macs need a powered hub?

I use a Mac and one of my phones put in extra digits, switched phones and every thing was fine.
