magicJackTM Cellphone should be announced when magicJackTM announces it.

When?

How much?

Will a magicJackTM be required to have a magicJackTM Cellphone?

Will it come pre-loaded with a phone number?

Will it be able to make free calls anywhere or in the USA & Canada only?

Will it be a SIM chip for GSM cellphones? <<<< this would be a winner!!!

WOW!!!

Can't wait.

you have got to be kidding me!

read this http://telephonyonline.com/voip/news/ma ... acks-0502/

"Magic Jack is focusing on starting small, not only in size and service, but also in functionality. Considering they are selling everything they make, Borislow doesn’t feel pressure to innovate right now. As sales volumes continue to increase, however, he plans to expand the device’s capabilities into number porting and 911 services in which the device will take the form of a cell phone. Further down the product roadmap, MagicJack will evolve into a base station for a handset and a station for a femtocell."

Even though I am happy with my magicJack, I don't believe anything the company says. I've had my MJ for a year and a half and I'm kinda tired of the promises that has been made and nothing has ever come from them. Still it's the best VOIP solution I have tried and stuck with.

The only thing I can think of is a wifi phone. There's NO way that ANY mobile cellular service provider is going to let MagicJack leach off of their nationwide network, even as an MVNO. Locally, yes. Nationwide, no.
