Hello Everyone:
With an objective to replace Vonage service with MJ , I purchased Panasonic KX-TG1032S ( 2-hand set ) system after doing some research.
My tests:
I. To establish that the Panasonic system I got is working fine, I connected Vonage to the Panasonic, no problems. All the Panasonic features worked fine such as caller ID display - Panasonic answering system( message recording, retrieval etc )
II. With MJ connected to the Panasonic system. I have the following problems.
Using Panasonic answering system:
No caller ID displayed for the incoming calls. I have reduced the ring count to 3 instead of 4 so that it does not get into conflict with MJ voice mail system. I have set record time for 3 mins. The message rarely gets recorded. After saying name and telephone # after beep, it says thanks and gets terminated.
Using MJ Voice mail system:
I do not see Callerid displayed consistently most of the time and no problems with Voice messages getting recorded all the time.
I would be happy if it displays Callerid consistently then I can use MJ voice mail system in preference to the Panasonic answering system .
I contacted Panasonic and I was told that as long as their phone system is fine, they could not help me with my MJ conflicts.
Contacted MJ support, I was told they would not support any other telephone system other than MJ hooked to the wall jack in the home network.
Anyone has any ideas ?
