Grrrrrrrrr, tech support got me nowhere. I had the M.J working on my own after spending hours on chat got nowhere.
It worked briefly and made a few phone calls 2 nights ago with excellent quality. Yesterday not working again. After another lengthy chat session and pulling out and reinserting the M.J formatting, upgrading, repeating this over and over.
I now lost my serial number when I run the mjrecovery, my M.J disk drive is 24 mb, and my M.J cdrom is 1 mb (which was 2 mb before). I do have the original serial number written down. M.J disk drive is empty and I cannot read the 1 mb CDROM drive.
When I run upgrade I now get the following url pointing to M.J website http://www.magicjack.com/magicfix/?code=1000
I would really like to get this working. Does anyone have a solution to repair this problem?

Since I had no response for assistance with the first post, I called around my city to try find a reseller. I originally bought the M.J at one of our local malls at a Kiosk setup in the walkway. That clown has since dissappeared. So a check on Kijiji turned up another reseller who referred me to the Canadian Magic Jack site. Low and behold I was talking to a real live person on the telephone. He told me to mail him the M.J at his address and he would honour the warranty. I had nothing to lose other then the cost of mailing it to him. The device was dead anyways and I was just about to throw it out in the garbage.
My suggestion. Don't buy it from a mall kiosk!
I hope I get a replacement mailed back, but if it doesn't work out no big deal.
