How Do I Block My MJ Number on Outgoing Calls?

Is there anyway to block my MJ phone number when I make outgoing calls? I do volunteer work with court youth and I don't want them to have my mj number, which is essentially my home number showing up when I call them. I use MJ exclusively as my family number. Thanks.

Frankly, the least expensive way would be to get a second magicJack.

There are sites often recommended on here that will change your real caller ID to whatever you want the other end to see... but that service is $24.95 a month! A 2nd MJ is only $19.99 a year (after purchase).

Register at that website,
Create a "dukaLINK"

Go to your settings page and put the phone number you want to call as your phone number

Then go to your dukalink and enter your phone number and wait for your phone to ring and connect you to who you want to call.

This method will not show your caller ID to the caller.
I use it all the time, it's a little bit of a pain but it works and it's free.

I’m trying to make a program that logs in to the jaduka settings and changes your phone number to the number you want to call. (Success to this point)

then opens the dukalink and inputs your number (success at this point).

But then I get a “unknown error, please try again at a later time”.

I’m not sure that my program is causing the error, because even if I navigate to the dukalink using my web browser I get the same error.

Have you ever experienced this error?

I used http analyzer and in the response content it shows “error=400-7109: PIN or Account in use”, I don’t know what the deal is, maybe its because I’m trying to do all of this at 3am, maybe their servers are down.

Maybe I’m trying to hard to squeeze blood out of a radish.

The servers must have been down. I now have the program working but I need to adjust the settings for public use. I should be done with it by friday. I wish I could finish it tonight but I have finals tomorrow morning.

Just like most other phone providers *67 You have to use *67 on each call you make to block ID.

Nope, doesn’t work. If you have been using *67 with magic jack, your calls go through but your number still shows up on the recipients caller ID. My program Private Caller works successfully to initiate a blocked call to any number. You can use it to connect free long distance calls to your phone if you do not have long distance. It still takes me to the main index page after you changed the link to a "[url]".

It looks like the difference between yours and the other guy's is that his has "www." at the start of the URL?
