Might seem like a crazy question but can't find an answer to it in the group.

What does the * does for MagicJack ?

Uhm, I don't belive that there are any working star codes on magicjack.
For example, dialing *67 to block your number will not work (as of yet).
But it is very helpful when you have a problem and need to route the phone call differently (I think thats what it does). Like when you get an echo or really bad connection or it just doesn't work you can try this:
dial *67 + first digit of areacode + * + the rest of the number
EXAMPLE: If you wanted to call (403) 555-5555 you would dial
*674*035555555
It's like... A work around.

Hi,
Ive had 2
MagicJacks for about 2 weeks now and been playing with them.
So far I can only see the positive things for the price.
I thought they were so cool that I wanted to show the CEO of the company that I work for.
I brought my laptop to work and plugged into the network plugged my MagicJack in plugged a phone into it and was going to call the front desk to test it before doing the demo.
Well it rang about 4 times without ringing the office.
Tried calling home and it worked, my cell it worked, another cell it worked.
Tried the office again and then all 4 lines and the fax machine, nothing.
I just tried your *67 exampled and that worked.
So I would like to say Dan should hire you and thank you!
Now could you tell me why it worked?
If not I understand, and thanks.
