Internet Explorer Script Error

Post by cartfreak71 »

As of today, when my MJ upgraded, I started getting Internet Explorer Script Errors. Anyone else getting this type of error? I've tried answering both "Yes" and "No", but still get the error.[/img]
I have those errors, I think those errors are the ad window, hitting an ad while it's unavailable.

I also can't make any phone calls, with no errors, dialtone - dail - pause - dailtone.

Runtime Error

Post by gluefish »

I'm getting:
"A Runtime Error has occurred.
Do you widh to Debug?
Line: 46
Error: 'Pages[...].1' is null or not an object."

Answering yes takes me to a HTML Script editor.

I've only been using MJ for 2 weeks now and have been super happy with it. Yesturday my wife called and cancelled Vonage. Today I'm also receiving this error message - what timing.

I'm visiting my mother for the holidays and have planned on installing one on her computer. I hope they fix this error soon, that's all I need is to screw up mom's machine :)

I have NOT done the upgrade, and I get the "Internet Explorer Script Error". Mine is at Line: 47, Char.: 5, Error: 'Pages[...].1' is null or not an object." , Code:0, URL: http://render.talk4free.com/images/rotate2.html. "Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?"

If I click "Yes", then MJ crashes and closes. If click "No", then I momentarilly go back to the "Set up your Voicemail" screen. The "ALLOW the upgrade" screen will then come back quickly.

If this is what happens if I DON'T upgrade, I hate to think what will happen if I DO.

Using IE version 7.0.5730.13 on WinXP SP2

Good luck to all, and a generic "Happy Holidays"!

Dead Link

Post by magicjackjoe »

I tried to go to http://render.talk4free.com/images/rotate2.html. It appears to be a dead link. Any other suggestions?
Thanks.

I put "http://render.talk4free.com/images/rotate2.html." in my restricted sites. When I restarted MJ, I got an "Error 9". When I restarted again, I got forcibly upgraded to 1.80.4663.3272.

Since then, I have had a couple of "wierdities". One call dropped after 9 minutes. Person on the other end said she heard my voice drop, a couple of seconds of music, and then nothing. I also have had calls not go through. After several retries, they go through. I checked. Line being called was NOT busy.

No ads, and NO script errors.

The way I see MJ and the way they do things is that some
software eng comes up with new firmware and they relase it
without doing at least a month of testing and it looks like the
main thing they wanted to get out before Xmas was the 30
min call time ..

Free calls - for 30 min's :(

Glad I got Skype as a back up ..

Thanks everybody who posted tips. I put the link to restricted sites in IE and so far haven't had the error yet. Able to call out. Don't know about the 30 minute restriction yet. I never make calls that long. I should have my teenage daughter try, she'd love to make a call that long.

Hope everyone has a safe Christmas!

Well I think I spoke to soon. The error is still gone, but now instead of the 30 minute cap. I now have a 60 minute one.

Same version number of 'troubled' update

Post by captfbgnet »

HMmmmm, your 'new' software update version is the SAME as the version causing all of the cutoff/time limit problems. Any chance you can use that 'dump program' some folks here are using to see if MJ actually changed anything and if so, can you post it here so knowledgeable people about these things can analyse it? TIA
