Running MJ as a service with no user session open

I would like to be able to use MJ on a Mac which is shared by all my family members. No user session is guaranteed to stay open at all times. I have tested MJ on the Mac and it works OK as long as the user session stay open and no fast user switching happens. For some reason the application, although running, is not able to work properly and no phone calls can be made or received, just dial tone.
In order to fix that, I'd like to have it started as root during boot up. Is that possible?
