Magic Jack works great, but PC audio occasionally stops

I read a suggestion to install magic jack under a different user to avoid the pop-ups. I did and it works fine. Occasionally, when I am under my normal user playing video games or a video, the audio stops working. The phone still works fine when this happens. I am using XP on an HP Pavillion and the audio driver is Conexant HD audio. The only solution I have found so far is to reboot. Any ideas?
