does magicjack affect the time to connect to internet?

ever since I installed magicjack, it is taking me a long time to connect to internet. When i do a speakeasy speed test, it's good.......but it's the connecting to the internet part taht is slow. Can anyone help? How can I check the broadband width as well? thanks

You can test your bandwidth at www.speedtest.net, and your connection quality at http://myspeed.visualware.com/voip/index.html. (I like this one better than testmyvoip, or whatever it's called, because that other one forces you to open ports on your firewall which MJ doesn't require. Seems needlessly pedantic. Too much drama just to test line quality.).
