I'm having the same problem since the upgrade. Call vmail, beeps and then returns to dial tone. Hope they are working on this. I tried the *and vmail number and got the YMAX test call number...

Go back to chat and ask them to review your chat history with them. Tell them you want the issue escalated. It's been said that they must escalate when requested. You'll get a supervisor. Tell them you want it escalated to an engineer. If they try to go through their 3-hour, mind-numbing script reading, tell them you've already been through that. If they force you to do it, just say "yes, ok, I've done that. Same problem, what should I do next?" Just don't follow any steps, and insist that they escalate.

It's retarded for them to say it's not on their end. If you can't get to your voice mail even using a different phone, it's obviously their end.

It seems to be related to last week's upgrade. Both problems affect so many people, I bet we'll get "Lucky You'd" again soon. (The message that displays when an upgrade occurs).

You can go here to find MJ contact info. Maybe take the time to contact MJ so they know this problem exists, and that, as a new user, you'd hope they perform beta evaluation before pushing an upgrade to everyone.

I too have no voicemail, just hangs up

I lost my Voicemail by deleting it, but they have not been able to reestablish it, after six hours of chats, and twice up-levelling to "engineering will fix it within 64 hours".

voice mail and phone not ringing

Post by ALEXBRODY »

I got my only two issues resolved shortly after posting here.
Tech support Chat guy had me re-install the update software and voila,
the voice mail has worked fine since. :P
I got an AC powered hub to see if that would help the phone ring. NO.
So I took that back and got a new Vtech phone($25 for a pair) from Wally mart and voila, phone rings off the hook since. :)
I got my 2nd MJ the other day for my sons to use on their laptop so they can hopefully save some cell phone minutes.
Oh, echo issue too seemed to have been fixed by going to MENU and setting the volume/speaker to one third maximum on both.
FIRE THE PHONE COMPANIES!!!!!!
HIRE MJ!!

fixed

Apprently they have figured out the no-voicemail problem. I tech-support chatted again, after waiting a week, and the tech went away for a few minutes "to check your connection" and then said "try again", and it worked.

It's common knowledge that going back to tech chat a few times can result in reaching someone who knows how to fix a problem the other chatters didn't.
