Possible interference

Post by sgriffi81 »

So set up MJ, love it. First 2 days all was well great quality. Then last night while on a call....I get a "click" or a cutout every couple of seconds. I rebooted the pc and called the person back. the cutout was gone but did have 1 quick echo.

Any idea's?
broadband connection - should've been fine at that hr
the pc is wirelessly connected to router
the landline phone i'm using is a cordless phone
the pc and phone base sit on a rack w/ alot of other equipment (EX: Home theater amp / DTV / Wii / PS2.

what do we think, interference causing this? open to suggestions.

thanks

"Click or cutout every couple seconds" sounds like "choppy voice." How to diagnose and possibly improve the condition is described on the Wiki FAQ: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/MagicJack/ ... 9_voice.3F

Echo is discussed there too: http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/MagicJack/ ... roblems.3F

You could try suggestions found at those locations and describe what did (or didn't) work.
