The key to making this whole thing work is that you have set the modem to 4800bps. This means that the packets have a real fighting chance of arriving at the destination gateway before they are needed to be converted back to analog for delivery into the PSTN.

That Just Part Of It .. I Tryed Many Different Types Of Programs and
Settings .. Yes 2400 - 9600 And Every Combination Of Settings I Could Change ..
Thank you for posting this. I tried it out and sent a 5 page fax and it worked just fine. Total time was about 8.5 minutes. Everything came through pretty much perfect except one line where the top was cut off but it was still readable.
The only thing that I did differently from yours was to use the 'Modem Initialization' strings that came up for my modem. I assume that was what I should have done.

Yes .. If It Worked Thats Great !
You Could Try The Settings I Listed ..
AT&F&C1&D2\Q3S7=120
( This is a generic settings should work on most modems )
And Make Sure You Have " Select Commutications Port Checked ...
Not Select Modem Seems To Work Better
My modem initialization string came up for my modem as AT&F&C1&D2&K3S7=90 . Not sure what the difference would be with the generic one you used. If I ever have any problems I'll try the generic.
I do have the 'Select the communication port your modem is on' checked.
what I do to fax is as follows, I connect my scanner to the computer I'm going to use to fax and scand the doc. then connect the cable from the MJ to the phone jack onthe moden and use the fax utility that came with the printer.
