Updating address for 911

[size=18][/size]When I set up my MagicJack, I entered the wrong physical address for 911 and wish to change it. How do I do this?

Login to your my.magicjack.com account portal. You'll be treated to PT Barnum's advertising. You'll have to look hard for the link to edit your account after signing in. But, it's there.

You can also click on the 911 drop down box on the MJ softphone and select "Add a New Location".

Apparently there is no way to change 911 address unless you have the MJ dongle in the pc. Mine is in Costa Rica right now with my USA address recorded. If someone calls 911 I don't want the police breaking down the door. My friend there is computer illiterate and getting him to change the address is hopeless. Any thoughts?

You need to have the dongle plugged in to change the 911 info. It's very simple to add an address on the softphone, even someone without any computer experience can be instructed how to do this.
