My Mj expired over 1 month ago

1 - It still worked for an xtra 3 weeks

2 - I can t use it anymore but my voicemail is still active (I receive in my email)

I am using a new computer and I have been using x-lite and never plug MJ in. To check if it was expired I plug the MJ in someone else computer. sure enough it says sorry your account has expired. It shows on the left windows. If you click on it it takes you to my.magickjack.com
there you can put you username and password. So I closed without logging in


on the left windows below the message there is a smaller windows that says CLICK HERE TO ORDER
when u click there it goes to secure.magicjack.com......

Your email and password for your my.magicjack.com account are stored encrypted on the jack itself. When you plug the jack in, the software decrypts the {drive_letter}\magicJack\Profiles.db to get your username/password. When you click that link in the softphone, it encrypts that information, and passes it to the magicjack servers as part of the dat/dbkey. So, magicjack is sending your username/password behind the covers.

This is why you do not need to provide a username/password.
