is it possible to use a VOIP USB Phone plugged into another USB port, just like I would do with a headset and mic??
if so, what might the quality be vs an analog phone?/ And will the VOIP phone ring, like my analog one does, thanks

I see you bought an iPhone to use with MJ service. The ones they sell over here come with a touch screen instead of buttons. Go figure.
Seriously, the difference between whether the buttons on your USB phone work (and sometimes, also, the ringer) seems to be whether the innards of the phone contain the TigerJet chip as the USB-to-voice processor. Since this part of the interface is not standardized at all, each vendor's processor is slightly different, and the MJ softphone only has the right driver for TigerJet.
