Can the MJ drive be cloned for recovery purposes?

Post by MyOwnMJ »

Been trying to fix a problem with a MJ unit. It had the Broken Storage message so I had to reformat and upgrade etc. but that didn't work.

The MJ unit worked one time.

Was wondering, on a new MJ device, can the MJ drive be cloned with drive imaging software so in case a restore is needed, to restore the cloned image to the way it was when originally purchased?

Reformatting then updating doesn't seem to work.

Thanks

This post http://www.phoneservicesupport.com/post28670.html#28670 describes how to make an image of the MJ drive(s). You'd have to investigate how to go the other direction. And, also the comment about the CD drive, whether it is ROM and/or can be recreated.

Mark,

Thanks for the link. I'll have to give it a read for sure. Didn't think about maybe part of it being ROM.
