I'm helping my friend with her MJ problem.
For the most part, her MJ has been working fine with calls out connecting about 90% of the time.
Recently, the calls going out only work about 40% of the time. When the calls don't go out, there is a dial tone, the number dials, on the softpad the status shows 'Active' and the second timer counts up, but there is only dead silence on the other line.
Has others came about a similar situation. If so, were you able to fix the problem?
MagicJack tech support was of no help. I spent about 5 hours with 4 different agents. Did the reformat, update, Regedit, etc. but I get the same result. One agent, after going through the Regedit and reboot, etc.
was suddenly 'busy and unavailable' even though when I asked how to I connect back to him after the re-boot and he say, that should be a problem. WTF?
Thx.

I feel your pain
I have the same problem, and have seen a number of other posts from others who have been using the MJ for 6-7 months and just suddenly started having real frequent problems. At one time, a MJ tech told me I needed a powered USB hub, and I bought one, but it didn't seem to make any difference. NO matter how many times you connect with their chat people and you tell them you have gone through all this before, they will run you through the same obstacle course. I hope someone comes up with an answer for all of us.

It's the same problem a lot of us are having and we've all been through the morons that tell us to check if the blue light is on and then set the priorities to background services.... duh!.
Let's group all together in the same tread since we all have the same problem, that way if one of us find the solution all of us will be able to benefit from it instead of trying to follow 3 or 4 different threads that relate to the same issue.
