MJ locks up on restarting computer

I installed magicJack yesterday and it has worked for placing and receiving calls. But when I go to restart the computer after it's been shut down, the MJ splash screen appears in the middle of my monitor like it did when initially installed. where it keeps showing "tell your friends" , "one minute of patience for a lifetime of savings", and it just sits there. The program doesn't start, the picture of the magicJack can't be removed from the screen and clicking on the desktop shortcut doesn't do anything either. I've removed the device and reinserted it in the USB and it reinstalls, but the next time I shut down the computer and restart it, the same thing happens. Also, I'm now unable to open firefox when MJ is plugged in and the computer has just been restarted. I click on the safely remove hardware icon to shut MJ down and when I highlight MJ and click stop, the little hourglass appears but never finishes. I try to shut down by clicking "start" and "turn off computer" and it won't even do that. The only way I can shut the computer off is holding the power button in. Any ideas?
