No inbound calls using Cisco CME

Post by technog0d »

I am using Cisco call manager express and i cannot receive and inbound calls. I am going through a firewall into my cisco 2811. Outbound calls go fine. I get a busy signal when trying to call inbound. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You don't happen to have ALG engaged in your router, do you? Please describe your problem in more detail if you hope to have anyone understand it.

I figured it out. I did a debug ccsip all and it told me that it negotiated a codec that i wasn't using and it did not match a dial plan.

I set the incoming dial plan to g711ulaw and i created a translate with the Exxxxxxxxxx01 number and that worked. For some reason the wildcard .* didn't work.... hmmm...

Anyway, Everything is working now.

Thanks anyway.

That'll do it. G.711 is the only CODEC that MJ's gateways use, and MJ's servers will not perform any transcoding. It's just another way to keep prices down.
