Issue install magicJack

Post by cojast81 »

I use to have a Dazzle installed on my PC i have sense uninstalled it and ripped out all registry entries that were left behind...that i could tell.

I just bought a MagicJack and when i plug it in it recognizes it as a Dazzle DVC90 and can not use the MJ until i can get the device to stop install it as a dazzle and install it as a ymax or tigerjet...

Any help figuring out how to remove dazzle from auto installing would be helpful since neither pinnacle or Chat support with MJ can figure it out

Reinstalling your operating system should cut right the chase and save you some time. Backup your important data first, of course.

You COULD LET it install it as a Dazzle device, then when it's done installing go to the device manager and manually switch the driver to "USB Audio Device"

That is the driver needed by the MagicJack :)

This method has worked for me in the past when Windows gets confused:

1. Go to Device Manager
2. Expand the "Universal Serial Bus controllers"
3. Uninstall each of the lines that contain "host controller"
4. close device manager
5. Reboot (or if you want, go to control panel and have it search for new hardware)
6. Your USB devices will be detected automatically
7. Plug in Magicjack and see if it is detected properly

I have not had to do this for Magicjack, but it has worked for some other similar USB conflicts.
