People Sound Far Away, Soft and a Little Muffled

Post by guesswho711 »

This is my first post as I'm a newbie owner of MJ. I am grateful for the posts on this site, but haven't been able to find any answers for my "problem".

I just got the MJ today and installed it then tested it by calling someone. To my surprise, it worked just fine even though I've seen probably more complaints than praises. Anyway, the call went through fine and I talked for about 10 minutes. Everything went well except I'm wondering if anyone else experiences a problem with volume. The person to whom I was speaking sounded softer like they were holding their phone away from their mouth when speaking. After that call, I called my new MJ phone number and left a voice message for myself. When I retrieved the message, it was extremely soft, even softer than when I had spoken on a live call earlier. I also checked my email and listened to the voicemail on my PC. To my surprise, I had to turn the volume up a considerabe amount when listening to the message.

Has anyone noticed this and is there a solution for this?

Click on the menu button of the softphone. A drop down menu will appear, choose volume and adjust the slide bars to the desired volumve for earpiece and microphone. Some people have reported getting echoing problems if the volume is turned too high. Good luck.

Yes, I checked the volume on the softphone and tried the volume control on my phone. I had checked the volume on the softphone during my phone call and it was all the way up. I had also "played" with the volume control on my phone during the conversation but it didn't do much. Any other thoughts?
