My problem is that when I block the proxy servers for specific cities and restart mj, after I dial, I get a dial tone. All the info I can find in these forums suggests that the next step is to block the vms servers as well.
I can't find instructions on how to block a vms server in the wiki, only that some users have to do this. I know how to extrapolate the name of the vms server, but do not know what to do with this info.
Help! I am in Atlanta and the call quality is terrible.
How to block a vms server?

Sometimes you have to restart mj a few times for it to go through. Download and run wireshark to see what server you are connecting to after you block the atlanta server. Also are you running xp or vista as it can make a difference. On xp I can reroute to a non-existant ip address on my LAN. On vista I have read you must reroute to a live ip address. The atlanta server is horrible you should see a remarkable difference in your call quality after you get this figured out. Also try searching for blocking proxy servers and you'll find a ton of info. Good luck sabresfan

I was unable to get this working on XP when routing to a non-existent IP address. It DID work when I routed to an existing IP address (e.g., my network printer). I created two .bat files - one to block via "route add" and one to unblock via "route delete." I have since just put the blocked routes into my FiOS Actiontec router. I usually have to restart MJ after a reboot to get calls to complete.
