Hello all

i have a magicjack and and calling from pakistan to canada. The magicjack works for 5 to 10 minutes then disconnect. can someone help. A few weeks ago the magicjack was working for hours...now it disconects after 5 to 10 minutes of use...

Im having the exact same problem with my wife's magic jack, she is in the Philippines, and the calls last for 3 or 5 minutes, depending on who calls who.

I had a similar issue and it turned out to be a conflict with my Avast! virus scan software. After I excluded the MJ folders the issue went away.

I'm developing a problem with dropped calls as well. I'm narrowing down the problem by eliminating possible causes.

I'm down to 'not enough power to USB ports' or 'dongle is going bad'. I have Avast! Home Edition installed on the host computer and had already excluded Magicjack files, folders and drives from scanning.

I have a powered USB hub on order. It will be here on Saturday. I ran Magicfix just now to make sure my updates were current, and it seems they are.

If the problem persists, my year is up in July. I'll just get another MJ. I only use it for outgoing long distance, so I don't care what number it's assigned.
