changed my email, now no voicemails are sent.

Post by kevinprov »

Everything was fine with email .wav files coming to to my verizon.net mailbox. Recently, I changed it to send to my aol.com mailbox, but it's not sending. I do still have the voicemail access via phone, but the vmail button has never "lit" up to indicated messages.

Any ideas anyone?

Same problem. I have never been able to successfully change email addresses for voicemail delivery. Tech support can't help either.

had the same problem. I used the live tech support and it wasn't working, until I asked them to totally reset my voicemail settings. emails went to the right place after. All your prior vm will be deleted so write it down 1st.

yes that worked!

It seems that changes made to voicemail addresses, when done online, do not actually get implemented. They still had the original email address as the one to send vm to, even though I'd changed it 3 times to 3 other addresses using the online setup. Using live chat to get it changed is the only way that works.
Thanks again.

Thanks for the update kevinprov. This useful information to possess as people do change emails accounts sometimes. MagicJack once again missed the bulls eye here. By changing your email on using the online site at MagicJack one might have the reasonable expectation that the doing so would change the email address without any further intervention on his/her part. Stupid quirks like this tarnish the reputation of the MagicJack. It is really sad that such an easily remedied problem is allowed to persist to further erode the confidence of consumers.

I agree with everything you said, macman.

Sometimes I think I'm 100 years out of time. If I lived 100 years from now, all technology would finally be working as advertised (though I suspect Windows will still be glitchy.lol)...100 years ago, and none of this would matter.

Either way, there would be fewer headaches. ;-)
